I joined Bank of Ireland from college as a mathematics graduate and have worked in a number of interesting areas over the past 17 years, including Actuarial Product Development, Treasury Risk Management, Branch Management, Customer Experience, Operations & Change and more recently the County Manager Role in Sligo, Leitrim & Roscommon. I am a natural problem solver and thrive on difficult challenges. The experience that I have gained in my career to date has greatly supported my own personal development and transition into my current leadership role.
I believe that it is possible to carve out a successful career living in the country and my career path within Bank of Ireland is a really good example of this. If you work hard and are committed to your end goals then you will achieve.
Inclusion and Diversity for me is about appreciating, respecting and supporting different types of people. Everybody is different but we all have so much to offer through our own perspectives on life, work, travel, sport, culture and family. It is important that we listen to each other and value all contributions. Within the organisation, we focus on our customers ensuring that their needs are at the centre of everything that we do. Within our workforce, we ensure that the right working conditions are in place to ensure that all colleagues can achieve their full potential.
I am married to David and mother of three beautiful daughters who keep me grounded and focused on my work life balance, which can be a challenge at times!
